Wright Brothers Bicycle Spiral Notebook
Wright Brothers Bicycle Spiral Notebook
The Wright Brothers® bicycle mechanical drawing spiral-bound notebook with letterpress cover (6x9)
Collection:
West Third at Williams
The Story:
Prior to solving the mystery of flight and eventually building the nation’s first airplane factory, the Wright brothers ran a bicycle shop. This journal features the design of the brothers’ Van Cleve bicycle, one of the brands of bikes first built at their 22 S. Williams St., Dayton, Ohio, location. Designed and printed in Ohio.
While best known for their achievements in flight, the Wright brothers began as letterpress printers. Our handcrafted journals, postcards, greeting cards and art prints celebrate the inventive nature personified by the brothers. Paper goods are letterpress printed on Igloo Letterpress’ antique presses dating from 1892–1962.
